”This is my Body... Body and Christianity – Temple or Taboo?” Ecumenical Summer Camp, August 8th - 12th
Ecumenical Youth of Denmark, The Student Christian Movement DKG and Young Adults (International Church of Copenhagen) are organising an Ecumenical Summer camp at Thyholm in August. Through workshops, lectures and debates we will explore the relation between body and Christianity. Is there room for the body in the church? Or is faith the brain’s business? Is Christianity in its essence patriarchal and male centric? What does Christianity have to say in modern debates on the ethics of body? We have arranged a number of prominent speakers and workshop leaders to challenge us and broaden our horizons.
Practical information: The camp will be held at Lyngtoppen,
Søndbjerg Strandvej 21, 7790 Thyholm. Bring a sleeping bag, sheet, pillow,
worship material, good shoes for walking, clothes for outdoor-activities,
swimsuits, towels, bathing shoes, musical instruments, etc. The camp is
situated near the sea in a beautiful natural area, so even though it will take
you some time to get there, we promise that it is worth it! You can sign up for participation atwww.dkg.dk.
For international participants the participation fee is 50 Euros. Travel expenses are not reimbursed. |
